1. OUR APPROACH TO PRIVACY

Piperstitch LLC, a Florida limited liability company (“Piperstitch LLC,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), provides the PiperStitch embroidery digitizing application at app.piperstitch.com, the PiperStitch Proofs add-on at proofs.piperstitch.com (“Proofs”), the website at piperstitch.com, and related software and services (together, “PiperStitch” or the “Service”).

PiperStitch runs in your web browser. Unlike software installed on your computer, the artwork you import is sent to servers operated by or for Piperstitch LLC, where it is converted into stitch data and returned to your browser. We built PiperStitch so that this happens with as little of your information as possible:

• Your artwork is processed to make your design and is then discarded. We do not keep it. This is true whether or not you have an account: you can try PiperStitch on your own file with no account at all, and that artwork is discarded the same way (Section 5.9).
• We keep a design only when you choose to save a project, and you can delete it at any time.
• We never use your artwork or designs to train artificial-intelligence models, and we never sell them.
• We collect the account and payment information needed to run a subscription service, plus the setup details you give us so PiperStitch and Proofs work for your shop.
• We count visits to our marketing website ourselves, without cookies and without any third party, in a way that cannot identify you or follow you (Section 5.7). There are no advertising trackers and no advertising networks, and the PiperStitch app itself reports nothing about what you do in it, apart from anonymous counts of the sign-in step and of the sample-logo demo (Section 5.9). Our own server records that your account uploaded artwork, made a file and downloaded one — and when — keeps a daily count of those and a few other steps, and keeps how each digitize turned out: the engine’s verdict on the artwork and the measurements of the result. Never the artwork, the file or its name. We keep it to understand whether trials succeed and whether subscribers are still getting value (Section 5.2).
• Proofs is different in one way, and we say so plainly in Section 4: a proof is a record, so what you send through Proofs, what your customers send back, and when they opened and approved it are kept until you delete the proof.

This Privacy Policy explains what information we handle, why, and the choices you have. By accessing or using PiperStitch, you acknowledge this Privacy Policy and the PiperStitch Terms and Conditions of Use (“Terms”).

2. TWO KINDS OF INFORMATION: USER CONTENT AND BUSINESS INFORMATION

PiperStitch distinguishes between two fundamentally different categories of information:

User Content is the artwork, designs, and projects you bring into or create through PiperStitch.

Business Information is the limited account, subscription, payment, technical, and support information Piperstitch LLC receives in order to provide, sell, secure, and administer PiperStitch and operate its business.

These categories are treated differently, as described below.

3. USER CONTENT

3.1 What Is User Content?

“User Content” includes information you supply to or create through PiperStitch, including:

• (a) artwork, images, logos, and photographs you import;
• (b) text you enter for lettering;
• (c) settings, sizes, thread colors, and edits you apply to a design;
• (d) projects you choose to save to your account;
• (e) the stitch designs PiperStitch produces from your artwork;
• (f) the embroidery files you download; and
• (g) when you use Proofs, your business name, logo, terms and messages, the proofs, approvals, certificates and production documents Proofs produces, and the artwork and job details your customers submit (see Section 4).

User Content may include business logos, customer artwork, or other proprietary or confidential material you select.

3.2 How Your Artwork Is Processed

When you import artwork, it is transmitted over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection to our servers, processed in memory to trace its shapes and generate stitch data, and the result is returned to your browser. Once that request completes:

• Piperstitch LLC does not retain the imported artwork.
• Piperstitch LLC does not write the artwork to permanent storage or log its contents.
• Piperstitch LLC does not keep a copy of the stitch data or of any embroidery file you download.

Each time you re-digitize or change a setting that requires the engine, the necessary design data is sent to our servers again and handled in the same way.

The exception is Proofs. When you send a design to Proofs, the stitch file and its rendered proof are kept as part of the proof record, because the record has to be able to show later exactly what was approved. Section 4 describes this.

3.3 Saved Projects

Nothing about your design is stored by Piperstitch LLC unless you choose to save a project. A saved project is stored in association with your account so that you can reopen it later. It contains the project name, the traced outlines and colors derived from your artwork, your design settings, and the resulting stitch design. It does not contain the original image file you imported.

Saved projects remain in your account until you delete them from within PiperStitch, until your account is closed, or as otherwise described in the Terms and in Section 12 below.

3.4 Your Content Is Yours

As between Piperstitch LLC and you, you retain ownership of your User Content. To the extent permitted by applicable law, Piperstitch LLC claims no ownership interest in your artwork or in the designs PiperStitch produces for you.

Piperstitch LLC:

• does not sell User Content;
• does not use User Content to train shared, public, or externally hosted artificial-intelligence or machine-learning models;
• does not use User Content for advertising or to build profiles about you; and
• does not have staff review your artwork or saved projects, except when you ask us for help with a specific project, when reasonably necessary to investigate abuse or a security incident, or when required by law.

4. PIPERSTITCH PROOFS: INFORMATION ABOUT THE PEOPLE YOU SEW FOR

4.1 What Proofs Does

Proofs lets you collect artwork and job details from the people you embroider for (“Recipients”), send them a proof rendered from your design, capture their approval or requested changes, and produce a Certificate of Approval and production documents. To do that it necessarily handles information about Recipients, who are your customers rather than ours. We process that information on your behalf and on your instructions, as your service provider; you decide who to send proofs to and what to keep.

4.2 Information Proofs Handles About Recipients

• (a) contact details you enter or that Recipients supply: name, company, email address, and, if texting is enabled, mobile number and the consent text and time they opted in;
• (b) artwork, job details, answers, comments, markup, and questions Recipients submit through an intake link, a proof page, email to your art@ address, or text message;
• (c) an evidence record of each step of a proof: when it was sent, delivered, opened, viewed, scrolled, commented on, and approved, together with the Recipient’s IP address, browser or device type, and the exact approval wording they saw, linked to a cryptographic fingerprint of the file they approved; and
• (d) bounce and delivery information from our email and text-message providers.

These records exist so that you can show what was agreed. They are the one place PiperStitch deliberately tracks activity, and it is limited to the proof page itself; Proofs does not track Recipients anywhere else.

4.3 What Proofs Keeps, and for How Long

Unlike digitizing, a proof is retained. For each proof, Proofs keeps the rendered proof, the design and embroidery file it was rendered from and that file’s fingerprint, the artwork and details submitted by the Recipient, the evidence record, and the Certificate of Approval, in association with your account, until you delete the proof or close your account (see Section 12.6). Deleting a proof deletes its certificate. If your Proofs subscription lapses, nothing is deleted: existing proofs, approvals, and certificates remain available to you and links already sent keep working for their stated period.

4.4 Messages Sent in Your Name

Proofs composes and sends emails and, where you enable it, text messages to Recipients under your business name, logo, and reply-to address: an artwork request, the proof, reminders on the schedule you set, and an approval confirmation. Replies go to your reply-to address, not to us. Our email delivery provider and, for texts, our messaging provider receive the Recipient’s address or number and the content of each message in order to deliver it, and report delivery and bounces back to Proofs. Text messages carry a STOP instruction; a number that replies STOP is not texted again.

4.5 Your Responsibilities for Recipient Information

Because you decide whose information goes into Proofs, you are responsible for having the right to contact each Recipient, for obtaining any consent applicable law requires (particularly for text messages), for the accuracy of what you enter, and for responding to a Recipient who asks you about their information. The Terms describe these responsibilities. If a Recipient contacts us directly, we will refer them to you where appropriate and will otherwise assist as described in Section 14.

4.6 Notice to Recipients

If you have been sent a proof or an artwork request by an embroiderer who uses PiperStitch Proofs: you do not need an account and we do not track you beyond the proof page itself. When you open, comment on, or approve a proof, the time, your IP address, your browser type, and the approval wording you saw are recorded so that the embroiderer has a record of what you agreed to. The embroiderer, not Piperstitch LLC, decides what is done with your information and is the first place to direct questions; you can also reach us at contact@piperstitch.com. We do not sell your information or use it for advertising.

5. BUSINESS INFORMATION WE COLLECT

To run a subscription service we must receive some information about you. Depending on how you use PiperStitch, this may include:

5.1 Account and Sign-In Information

PiperStitch signs you in with one-time codes sent to your email address; there are no passwords. When you sign in we receive and keep:

• (a) your email address;
• (b) a name for your account (until you subscribe, this is a placeholder derived from your email address; at checkout it is replaced by the name you provide to our payment processor);
• (c) the one-time codes and account links we send you, stored only as one-way hashes and expiring within minutes (the one exception is the free-trial link we email when you ask for one on our website, which works once and expires after seven days; Section 9);
• (d) a session token stored as a one-way hash, and the browser type (“user agent”) of the browser it was issued to;
• (e) the date and time you signed in and were last active.

5.2 Trial and Subscription Information

We keep a record of your free-trial start and end dates, your subscription status and billing-period dates, cancellation requests, and a log of subscription events (for example “trial started,” “renewed,” “payment failed,” or “cancellation scheduled”).

To understand whether trials succeed, we also record on your account that it first uploaded artwork, first made an embroidery file and first downloaded one — and when — never the artwork, the file or anything about it. Each date is written once, the first time it happens. The same three steps are also counted anonymously alongside the sign-in counts, with only the campaign tags your account arrived with (Section 5.8) and nothing that identifies the account.

We also record how each digitize went. When our server turns your artwork into stitches it already works out, in order to show you, whether the artwork suited embroidery at all, a readiness score out of 100, and the shape of the result. We keep that much: the verdict (“good”, “caution” or “poor”); where it was not good, a short code for why — that it was a photograph rather than flat artwork, that it broke into too many separate pieces, that it was too small or too soft to find clean edges in, or that the engine judged its own result poor; the score; and the measurements of the result — stitches, colour changes, trims, the estimated time on a machine, whether it was ready to sew, and how long our server took. We do not keep your artwork, the file, the design, or its name, and we do not keep the sentences our engine writes about your picture, because those quote measurements of the picture itself. This is the only thing we record that describes your work rather than simply that you did it. We record it for one reason: when a trial ends without a subscription, there is otherwise no way to tell whether that person never tried PiperStitch or tried it and did not like what it produced — and those call for opposite fixes. It is kept for the same 400 days, it is included in the copy of your data you can ask for, and it is deleted when your account is.

Alongside those dates we keep a daily tally on your account: for each day, how many times it signed in, uploaded artwork, made a file, downloaded one, saved a design, emailed a file, sent a proof, and began a subscription checkout. It is a count and a date — a number per day for each of those nine things — and nothing else: never the artwork, the file, the design, its name, its size, or anything about any of them. We keep it so that we can tell whether people get value from a trial and whether subscribers are still getting it, which is the difference between improving PiperStitch and guessing at it.

Every one of these is recorded by our own server as a side effect of doing that work for you. The app in your browser still reports nothing about what you do in it (Section 8). The tally is kept for 400 days and then deleted, is removed with your account if you delete it, and is included in the copy of your data you can ask us for (Section 11).

5.3 Setup and Preferences

The guided setup and Settings ask for details that make PiperStitch and Proofs work for your shop: your business name and type, your name, your embroidery machine brand, the hoops you own, your thread brand and library, your usual fabric and file format, your preferred units, and, for Proofs, your reply-to address, logo, how long customers have to respond, and whether reminders are sent. These are stored with your account so that they follow you between devices and between PiperStitch and Proofs. You can change or remove them at any time in Settings.

5.4 Payment Information

Payments are processed by a third-party payment processor, currently Stripe, Inc. (“Stripe”). You enter your card details directly on Stripe’s pages; Piperstitch LLC never receives or stores your full card number.

From Stripe we receive and keep the name and email address you provide at checkout, Stripe’s customer and subscription identifiers, and a record of each payment (amount, currency, date, status, and invoice identifier). Stripe’s handling of your payment information is governed by Stripe’s own privacy policy.

5.5 Technical Information

Like any web service, our servers and hosting providers automatically receive certain technical information when your browser communicates with them, such as your IP address, browser type, the pages or requests made, and their date and time. This information appears in routine server and hosting-provider logs, which are retained for a limited period and used for security, rate-limiting, abuse prevention, and troubleshooting. We do not use it to profile you.

5.6 Support Communications

When you contact us, we receive the information you choose to provide, such as your email address, the content of your message, and any screenshots, artwork, or files you attach. If you send us artwork or a project so that we can help with it, that material is no longer transient and may be retained as reasonably necessary to resolve your request and maintain appropriate business records. Please do not send us confidential artwork unless you determine it is necessary.

5.7 The Website

The marketing website at piperstitch.com counts visits so that we know which pages are read and which channels bring people to us. The counting is our own, on our own servers: there is no third-party analytics service, no advertising network, and no cookie of any kind involved.

For each page view we record the page’s path (never the query string), the website a visitor arrived from (for example “youtube.com” — never which video, post, or search term), any campaign tags we ourselves put on a link we shared, the date, and whether the visitor was on a phone, a tablet or a desktop computer. That last is one of those three words and nothing finer: it is read from the browser description our servers already receive with every request, and we keep no browser version, device model or operating system. We record it because it is the only way to tell whether the people who read a page and leave are the ones holding a phone, and that question decides what we build next. To count a person once rather than five times we store a one-way cryptographic digest of the visitor’s IP address, browser type and that day’s date, combined with a secret we hold. That digest cannot be reversed into an IP address, cannot be compared against one, and is different for the same visitor the following day, so it cannot be used to follow anyone over time. We do not store the IP address itself. These records are deleted after about a year.

When someone uses the “email me a link” form on our website, the same counter records that the form was used, in the same anonymous way. The email address you type into that form is handled separately, as described in Section 9.

If your browser sends a “Do Not Track” or Global Privacy Control signal, nothing is counted at all (Section 18).

5.8 How You Found Us

When an account is first created we record, on that account, the channel it came from — a campaign tag on a link, a partner’s code, or the website the person arrived from. It is written once and never changed afterwards, and it exists so that we can tell which of our own efforts and which partners actually bring people to PiperStitch. It is not used to profile you or to target advertising.

5.9 Crash Reports

If the PiperStitch app fails in your browser, it sends us a technical description of the failure: the error message, the internal location in our code, and the page of the app you were on. This contains no artwork, no design, and nothing you typed. It exists so that a fault is fixed rather than silently suffered, and, apart from the anonymous counts below, it is the only thing the app reports about itself. (That your account uploaded artwork, made a file and downloaded one, and how each digitize turned out, are recorded by our server while it does the work, not reported by the app; see Section 5.2.)

Trying PiperStitch on your own artwork without an account. You can drop your own file into PiperStitch and see it digitized before you give us anything at all — no email address, no account, no card. That artwork is sent to our server, turned into stitches, and discarded when the request ends. It is never written to disk, never stored, never attached to a person, and never used to train anything. There is no account for it to belong to, and we do not create one. We do not keep the engine’s verdict on it either, because there is nobody to keep it against — the record we described in Section 5.2 is kept only for accounts. Downloading the embroidery file is the one thing that needs an account, and that is where you choose whether to give us an email address.

Before you have an account, the PiperStitch app also tells our own visit counter when someone opens the sample-logo demo, when they make a design in it, when someone asks for a sign-in code and when that code has been sent. These four counts are made the same way as website visits (Section 5.7): the same daily one-way digest and any campaign tags from the link you arrived on. They never include your email address or anything that identifies you, and they are not sent at all if your browser signals Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control.

The demo itself sends nothing personal: it asks our server to digitize our own sample logo at the size and fabric you pick, and nothing you type or upload. To keep it fair for everyone, our server counts how often each internet address uses the demo, in memory only and for no longer than a day; that count is not stored or linked to anything else.

6. INFORMATION WE DO NOT COLLECT

Piperstitch LLC does not:

• (a) retain your imported artwork or exported embroidery files, other than as part of a proof record you create in Proofs (Section 4);
• (b) collect usage analytics or telemetry about what you do inside PiperStitch — which tools you reach for, how you edit, or what you type; the app reports only a technical description of a crash and anonymous counts of the sign-in step and of the sample-logo demo (Section 5.9); our server records that your account uploaded artwork, made a file and downloaded one — and when — and how each digitize turned out: the engine’s verdict on the artwork and the measurements of the result, never the artwork, the file or its name (Section 5.2), to understand whether trials succeed; and the only other activity recorded is a Recipient’s actions on a proof page, as part of that proof’s record;
• (c) use advertising identifiers, third-party tracking cookies, or social-media pixels;
• (d) receive or store your full payment-card number;
• (e) access files on your computer other than the artwork you choose to import;
• (f) sell or rent your personal information; or
• (g) use your information for targeted advertising.

7. HOW WE USE BUSINESS INFORMATION

Piperstitch LLC uses Business Information to:

• (a) sign you in and keep you signed in;
• (b) provide, operate, and maintain PiperStitch, including storing the projects you choose to save;
• (c) administer your free trial and subscription;
• (d) process payments, renewals, cancellations, and refunds;
• (e) send transactional messages, such as sign-in codes, account links, welcome and billing notices, and payment-failure notices;
• (f) respond to support requests;
• (g) operate Proofs on your behalf: send the messages you ask it to send, receive what Recipients send back, and keep the proof records described in Section 4;
• (h) enforce the Terms, including the one-trial-per-person limit;
• (i) detect and prevent fraud, abuse, security incidents, and unauthorized access;
• (j) maintain appropriate accounting, tax, and business records;
• (k) comply with applicable law and legal process;
• (l) protect the rights, property, and safety of Piperstitch LLC and its Users; and
• (m) improve the reliability and operation of PiperStitch without accessing the substance of your User Content.

8. COOKIES AND BROWSER STORAGE

PiperStitch uses only the cookies and browser storage strictly necessary to operate:

• A sign-in cookie (“ps_session”) set by app.piperstitch.com when you sign in. It is marked HttpOnly and Secure, expires after thirty days or when you sign out, and identifies your session to our servers.
• A short-lived session cookie set by the account page at admin.piperstitch.com while you manage your subscription.
• A sign-in cookie set by proofs.piperstitch.com when you use Proofs, with the same properties.
• Browser local storage on app.piperstitch.com holding a copy of your editor preferences and thread library so the app opens quickly. Since September 2026 these preferences are also saved to your account (Section 5.3) so that they follow you between devices and into Proofs.
• Browser session storage on app.piperstitch.com while you sign in: the email address you entered and when the code was sent, so that reloading the page (or returning from your email app) brings you back to the code box. It never leaves your browser, and it is cleared when you finish signing in, after fifteen minutes, or when you close the tab. The app uses the same per-tab storage to remember the Proofs page to return to when you arrive from Proofs, and, in the sample-logo demo, the size and fabric you chose.
• A proof page opened by a Recipient sets no cookie; the link itself identifies the proof.
• If you arrive through a PiperStitch partner’s link, a cookie named “ps_ref” records which partner sent you, so that they are credited if you subscribe. It holds a signed reference to that partner’s code and nothing about you, lasts ninety days, and is used for no other purpose.
• Our website’s visit counting (Section 5.7) uses no cookie and stores nothing in your browser.

None of these is used for tracking or advertising. Stripe’s checkout and billing pages set their own cookies, governed by Stripe’s privacy policy. Blocking cookies for app.piperstitch.com or proofs.piperstitch.com will prevent you from signing in.

9. EMAIL COMMUNICATIONS

Piperstitch LLC sends transactional email necessary to operate the Service: sign-in codes, account links, a welcome message when you subscribe, notices when a payment fails or a cancellation is scheduled, and similar service messages. These are sent to the email address on your account and cannot be opted out of while you hold an account, because they are how you sign in and how we tell you about your subscription.

During a free trial we send a short series of tips — about eight emails over the two weeks. Afterwards we may send a few follow-ups (for example when a trial ends without a subscription, after a subscription is cancelled, or if you have not signed in for a while) and occasional product news. Every one of these has an unsubscribe link, and you can also opt out at any time by replying or by writing to contact@piperstitch.com; doing so does not affect transactional email.

9.1 Before You Have an Account: “Email Me a Link”

Our website lets someone who is browsing on a phone ask us to email them a link, so that they can start a free trial later on the computer next to their machine. If you use that form we collect your email address, the date and time you asked, and any campaign tags on the link you arrived on (for example which advertisement or post brought you to the page). We use them to send the link you asked for and, if you have not started a trial, one reminder the next day — and nothing else. We do not add you to any other mailing, and we send nothing more unless you start a trial, at which point you have an account and the rest of this Section applies. Using the form does not create an account.

The link signs you in and starts your trial when you open it. It works once and expires after seven days, and we store only a one-way hash of it. Both emails have an unsubscribe link; unsubscribing stops the reminder and any further email to that address. We keep these requests for twelve months and then delete them, together with our record of the emails we sent; if you start a trial, the campaign tags are copied onto your account as described in Section 5.8. The emails are delivered through our email delivery provider, as described below.

Proofs also sends you notifications about your own proofs: a customer’s approval, change request, question, or bounced address, and artwork received. These go to the reply-to address you set and can be reduced in Settings.

Email is delivered through a third-party email delivery provider, which receives the address and the content of each message in order to deliver it; where you enable texting in Proofs, text messages are delivered through a third-party messaging provider in the same way. Messages Proofs sends to Recipients on your behalf are described in Section 4.4.

10. SHARING OF BUSINESS INFORMATION

Piperstitch LLC does not sell personal information and does not share it for advertising.

Piperstitch LLC may disclose limited Business Information to service providers when reasonably necessary to operate its business, such as its payment processor (Stripe), email delivery provider, text-message provider (for Proofs texting, where enabled), cloud hosting, file storage, and infrastructure providers, professional advisers, and security providers. These providers are permitted to use the information only to provide their services to Piperstitch LLC.

Saved projects and proof records are stored on infrastructure operated by our hosting and storage providers, which store the data on our behalf and do not use it for their own purposes.

Piperstitch LLC may also disclose information:

• (a) when required by applicable law, subpoena, court order, or lawful governmental process;
• (b) when reasonably necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of Piperstitch LLC, its Users, or others;
• (c) in connection with suspected fraud, abuse, or unlawful activity; or
• (d) in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, sale of assets, or similar corporate transaction, in which case the recipient will be bound to respect this Privacy Policy.

11. GOVERNMENT AND LEGAL REQUESTS

Because Piperstitch LLC does not retain imported artwork or exported files from digitizing, it ordinarily cannot produce them in response to a legal request. Piperstitch LLC may, however, be required to disclose Business Information, saved projects, and proof records actually in its possession when legally compelled to do so. Nothing in this Privacy Policy prevents Piperstitch LLC from complying with applicable law or a valid legal order.

12. DATA RETENTION

12.1 Artwork and Exported Files

Imported artwork and exported embroidery files are not retained. They exist on our servers only for the duration of the request that processes them.

12.2 Saved Projects

Saved projects are retained until you delete them from within PiperStitch or your account is closed. Piperstitch LLC may delete saved projects after an account has been without an active trial or subscription for a reasonable period, or upon termination of the account, as described in the Terms.

12.3 Sign-In Codes and Sessions

One-time codes and account links expire within minutes of being issued and are useless afterwards; the free-trial link emailed in response to our website’s form works once and expires after seven days. Sign-in sessions expire after thirty days and are revoked when you sign out.

12.4 Account, Subscription, and Payment Records

Account and subscription records are retained while you have an account and for as long afterwards as reasonably necessary to operate the business, maintain transaction and licensing records, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, prevent fraud (including enforcement of the one-trial-per-person limit), and satisfy legal, tax, accounting, and regulatory requirements. Payment records are retained for the period required by tax and accounting law.

12.5 Logs and Support Records

Server and hosting-provider logs are retained for a limited period determined by our hosting providers and are then discarded. Support correspondence is retained as reasonably necessary to resolve the request and maintain business records.

12.6 Proof Records

Proof records (Section 4.3) are retained until you delete the proof from within Proofs or close your account. Recipient contact details you have entered remain in your Proofs contact list until you archive or delete them. Files received by email or text that you decline are deleted after a short holding period. Piperstitch LLC may delete proof records after an account has been closed, as described in the Terms.

12.7 “Email Me a Link” Requests

An email address left on our website’s “email me a link” form, with the time and campaign tags recorded alongside it, is deleted twelve months after the request (Section 9.1).

13. DATA SECURITY

Piperstitch LLC uses reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the information it holds, including:

• (a) encryption in transit (HTTPS) for all communication with PiperStitch;
• (b) storage of sign-in codes, account links, and session tokens only as one-way hashes;
• (c) HttpOnly, Secure sign-in cookies;
• (d) transient, in-memory processing of artwork for digitizing, and quarantine and malware scanning of files Recipients submit through Proofs;
• (e) restriction of administrative access to authorized personnel; and

No computer system or transmission is absolutely secure, and Piperstitch LLC cannot guarantee that information will never be accessed, lost, or disclosed. Because PiperStitch signs you in by email, the security of your account depends substantially on the security of your email mailbox and of the devices and browsers you use. You are responsible for keeping those secure. If we learn of a security breach affecting your personal information, we will notify you as required by applicable law.

14. YOUR PRIVACY RIGHTS

Depending upon where you reside, applicable privacy laws may provide rights concerning personal information held by Piperstitch LLC, including rights to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or a portable copy of your personal information, and rights to object to or restrict certain uses or disclosures. Piperstitch LLC will honor applicable privacy rights as required by law.

You can exercise many of these choices directly: you can delete saved projects from within PiperStitch and cancel your subscription at any time through the account page. To correct the name or email address on your account, to exercise any other right, or to ask us to close your account and delete your information, email contact@piperstitch.com from the address on your account. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request and will respond within the time required by applicable law (and in any event within thirty (30) days where reasonably practicable).

When you ask us to delete your account, we will delete your saved projects and account information, except for records we are required to retain for tax, accounting, legal, fraud-prevention, or dispute-resolution purposes, which we will keep only for as long as those purposes require. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights. You may also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority.

If you are a Recipient rather than a User, the embroiderer who sent you the proof controls what is kept about you; please contact them first. Where we hold information about you on their behalf, we will pass your request to them and, where the law requires us to act directly, we will.

These rights apply only to information Piperstitch LLC possesses or controls. Piperstitch LLC cannot provide, correct, or delete artwork or embroidery files that it never retained; those are under your control on your own computer.

15. CHILDREN’S PRIVACY

PiperStitch is intended for adults and requires Users to be at least eighteen (18) years of age. PiperStitch is not directed to children under thirteen (13), and Piperstitch LLC does not knowingly collect personal information from children under thirteen. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at contact@piperstitch.com and we will delete it.

16. INTERNATIONAL USERS

Piperstitch LLC operates from the United States, and PiperStitch is hosted and Business Information is processed in the United States, or in other locations where Piperstitch LLC’s service providers operate, subject to applicable privacy requirements. If you access PiperStitch from outside the United States, you understand that your artwork and information will be transmitted to and processed in the United States, where privacy laws may differ from those of your country.

17. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES AND LINKS

PiperStitch relies upon third-party services, including a payment processor, hosting and file-storage providers, an email delivery provider, and, for Proofs texting where enabled, a text-message provider, each of which handles information only as necessary to provide its service to Piperstitch LLC. Information you provide directly to a third party, such as card details entered on Stripe’s pages, is governed by that third party’s privacy policy and terms. The website may contain links to other sites; Piperstitch LLC is not responsible for the privacy practices of sites it does not control.

18. DO NOT TRACK

PiperStitch does not track Users across websites or for advertising, and there is no such tracking to turn off. We nevertheless honour the signal where we count anything at all: if your browser sends “Do Not Track” or a Global Privacy Control signal, our website records no page view from you whatsoever (Section 5.7). The only other activity recorded anywhere is a Recipient’s actions on a proof page, which are part of that proof’s record rather than tracking across sites.

19. CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY

Piperstitch LLC may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in PiperStitch, applicable law, technology, or business practices. The current version, with its version date, is always available at piperstitch.com/privacy-policy.html. For material changes affecting an ongoing relationship with you, Piperstitch LLC will provide reasonable notice by email, through PiperStitch, on its website, or by another reasonable method.

Your artwork is yours.

It is sent to us for one reason, to turn it into stitches, and it is discarded as soon as that is done.

It is not kept unless you choose to save a project or send a proof, and you can delete either whenever you like.

It is not used by Piperstitch LLC to train an AI model, and it is never sold.

We keep the account and payment details we need to run a subscription, and nothing more.

What you make with PiperStitch remains distinctly yours.
